Mrs. Favour Benson, the Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart Foundation (JTAH Foundation), has joined global voices in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child 2025, commending the courage, strength and leadership of girls everywhere.

This year's theme, "The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis," shines a light on the resilience and power of girls who continue to make a difference in their communities despite facing numerous challenges.

In her message, Favour Benson described girls as "the heartbeat of transformation," emphasising their important role in shaping the future through education, innovation and compassion.

Every girl carries within her the seed of greatness. Even in times of crisis, they continue to rise, lead and inspire. At JTAH Foundation, we are proud to stand with every girl child and remain committed to promoting their rights, protection and empowerment.

She encouraged all stakeholders, including parents, leaders and communities, to continue creating environments that nurture girls' potential and allow them to lead confidently.

Let us continue to invest in the girl child, give them opportunities and amplify their voices. The change we seek begins with empowering our girls.
